Connie! is a second generation Cuban-American, born in Ybor City, Tampa, Florida. She was the first in a family of seven siblings to graduate high school and college. Connie believes that her appreciation of cultural diversity is important in administering justice.

Connie! is relentless in the pursuit
of justice. She has experienced the injustice of unfair legislation. Connie performed CPR and saved an accident victim. The law prohibited her from learning if she had been exposed to HIV. She hired a lawyer and filed a lawsuit. A judge ordered the hospital to disclose this information. Believing in the system, Connie vowed that no good Samaritan should have to repeat her experience. She lobbied the legislature and changed the law. Good Samaritans are now entitled to this information.
